Stay On Your Own Trail

In this world, comparison surrounds us wherever we turn. There will always be someone smarter, someone prettier, better educated, more talented, more bold, more wild, and more confident, and there will also always be someone with less of all of those things than you!

The point is: It doesn't matter!

It doesn't matter what anyone else has or what anyone else is doing. Work on yourself! Bring your attention back to you. Back to your passion. Back to your talents. Back to your heart. Your worth is not based on your job status, how well you perform, or how you look or speak.

Comparison is a beast that will destroy you if you let it. Don't let your yetzer hara win. It comes with jealousy, and the two of you together, they are powerful enough to ruin your afternoon, your day, or even weeks if you let it in.

Recognize that and put your energy and attention on yourself. Get in the habit of safeguarding your thoughts. Don't entertain every thought that runs through your mind. Realize that you control your thoughts, and redirect your energy into something positive.

Stay in your own lane and focus on your own life, your own goals and ambitions. Comparison is a toxic habit that robs us of joy and prevents us from fully embracing our unique selves. Redirect your thoughts, and focus on your own paths, embrace your worth.

Your path is unique to you, and you cannot follow someone else’s steps
